How to Choose the Right Event to Attend

The Chamber is proud to offer you over 100 networking opportunities each year. From committees and councils to monthly and annual events, there’s no shortage of opportunities to get involved.

With so many Chamber events each year, how do you decide which one is right for you? Let’s take a moment to briefly review each of them:

Monday MixerMonday Mixer WEB
Start your week at Monday Mixer, an after-hours networking reception with light appetizers, drinks and door prizes. Connect with 50 to 60 like-minded business people at a local Chamber business or organization each month. Stop by anytime between 5 and 6:30 p.m. and build relationships at this cocktail reception.

Power Hour LuncheonWeb
Hungry for new business? Leverage your lunch with the power of business referrals at a Power Hour Luncheon. Each guest is invited to make an introduction to the group and pitch an elevator speech about their business. Known as “PHLs”, these lunch-time networking events are held twice each month and give you a chance to experience the great restaurants Sarasota has to offer. With an average of 40 attendees, members are encouraged to bring a door prize for added visibility. A PHL may work best for you if you’re looking for a more intimate setting to network. You’ll have the opportunity to hear the great work your fellow members are doing and figure out who you might wish to connect with afterward.

Mega MinglePrint
Mega Mingle is a supercharged networking event that brings area non-profits and their members together with the movers and shakers of Sarasota’s top businesses. Similar to a Monday Mixer, the focus of a Mega Mingle is the non-profit members and the companies that wish to connect with them. Non-Profits are encouraged to invite their staff, board members and volunteers to get out and enjoy themselves while making valuable business connections.

Chamber 411Print
Whether you’re a new member or just need to brush up on your member benefits, Chamber 411 has got you covered. Held once a month, Chamber 411 provides you and your staff with an orientation and overview of your member benefits. This is a great chance to make connections with other new members of The Chamber and to start making your membership work for you. Did you just join a Chamber member company? Stop by for a great chance to introduce yourself to staff and pick up a referral along the way.
