The Sarasota Young Professionals Group (YPG), a program of The Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce, is proud to announce its 2015-2016 Board of Directors.
The YPG Board recently swung into their 2015-2016 year with an annual retreat on Saturday, September 26 at the Circus Arts Conservatory. They met as a group to establish their goals, but learned to take risks and establish trust both with each other and on the trapeze.
The board focused on several key areas, including increasing member engagement, strengthening partnerships and connecting young professionals to the arts and culture of Sarasota. Ultimately, the 2015-2016 Board hopes to serve as a catalyst in establishing Sarasota as a community that provides ideal quality life for young professionals.
“I am excited to support a phenomenal group of people and an exemplary Board of Directors as we head into the 2015-16 year,” Chairperson Michael Calamaras, TriNet, explains. “We are focused on our mission to connect, retain and serve young professionals in the Greater Sarasota area through engagement, opportunity and advocacy, and to envision ‘a dynamic community with a high quality of life for young professionals.’”

The Chamber's vision is to create the best business climate in the United States. Our vision is not about having more. It is about having better. Our view of the ideal business climate is a balance between quality of living and quality of working. It is a community abundant with talent, embracing of technology, and encouraging of diversity.
