How long have you been in business in the Greater Sarasota Community?
I have been in business in the Sarasota community since February 2015.
In a nutshell, what does your organization provide its customers?
Self-Confidence! I don’t just sell you a product. I help you determine exactly what you need and I teach you proper application. From our award-winning skincare line to our gorgeous make-up collection, I will assist you in customizing a regimen that works best for you. And when you look and feel your best, you project self-confidence.
Complete this sentence: “When a customer walks into my business, they can expect…”
…to be greeted warmly and to be treated like they are wearing a sign that says “make me feel important.”
What makes your organization unique?
I am your personal consultant and will go above and beyond to meet your wants and needs. In addition to providing individualized beauty care, I do personalized gift sets and gift baskets for holidays and occasions like Administrative Assistants’ Day.
What benefit(s) attracted you to the The Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce?
Joining the Chamber was twofold. (1) Being new to the area, it gives me the opportunity to network and meet people; and (2) My husband accepted an executive level position with the City of Sarasota. Attending these events/mixers gives him an opportunity to meet the community he serves.
Is your organization involved in any community activities?
“The Mary Kay Foundation” is dedicated to ending women’s cancers and domestic abuse. To date, it has awarded more than $21.7 million to cancer researchers at accredited medical schools and schools of public health, and $37.6 million to shelters and programs addressing domestic violence prevention. The Palm Aire Women’s Club provides Scholarships and supports local charities such as “Adopt-A-Family”, “SPAARC” and “Children’s Academy of Southwest Florida” to name a few. We also donate 300 Certificates to United Way Suncoast for their Kickoff Campaign. The certificates are part of the “goody bags” being given to 300 teachers.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
I would like to be an Executive Level Director. I would also like to be highly involved with charities benefiting our local community.
If your business were a book, song or famous artwork, what would it be and why?
I would choose the song “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts. The lyrics speak for themselves: My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to, Your dreams stay big, your worries stay small, You never need to carry more than you can hold, And while you’re out there getting where you’re getting to, I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too, Yeah, this, is my wish.
